Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur own this private custom 3-bedroom/3bath-luxury vacation home called the "Pole House," - accommodates up to 8 guests; plus the cane cottage with studio – accommodates up to 2 guests. This exclusive home sits on 5 lush acres of tropical landscaped grounds and is ideal for a quiet, inspired retreat; honeymoon, anniversary, wedding, or family reunion.This gated home has a long drive way lined with Ti plants.Hawaiians believe the Ti plant protects and brings good luck to the home.The ocean view from the large lanai of the Pole House is down a splendid forested gorge. Music can be directed outside while you languish in the pool/spa surrounded by tropical gardens lit by Tiki torches. Try a game of croquet on the adjacent lawn, then perhaps a nap in the hammock under 2 of the more than 200 palms. Pick some ginger, protea or heliconias for your table. Add guavas, papaya and/or bananas, all just a few steps from the pool area. Take a minute to enjoy the art throughout the house created by island artists.
The main living area of the house is 10 feet up, supported by telephone poles (AKA Pole House) We offer two king master bedroom suites upstairs (one with its’ own lanai), The large living/dining space has a complete home entertainment center including Tivo and a video/DVD library with a comfortable sectional to curl up in and much more.The home is equipped with broadband Internet with Wi/Fi, printer/scanner, fax and answering machine.The kitchen cabinets are made with solid Koa wood (now virtually unavailable), hand crafted by a local cabinet maker/artisan. The kitchen is completely equipped, down to a Cuisnart, sugar, flour and spices.Downstairs is a complete one-bedroom/one bath apartment (never rented separately) with two twins in the bedroom as well as a queen futon in the living room. There is a separate kitchen, Satellite TV/VCR and a private patio.
STUDIO - For those parties who need to have space for 10, we have a new charming Cane Cottage, at the other end of the property 400 feet from the house on its own driveway. There is a lovely Studio in this cottage, which can be rented for an overflow of 2 persons. The caretakers live in the other section of the Cane Cottage. Our Maui Vacation Home sleeps 8 people. Including the Studio, the property accommodates a total of 10 guests.
The nightly rate for 4 people is $385 a night, plus 11.42% HI tax.Each additional person is $30 per night up to a maximum of 8 people in the main house.A studio apartment sleeps an additional 2 people and is 400 feet from the main house. The combination of Studio and House will sleep 10. The Studio has a full bath, kitchenette, queen bed and a 25-inch TV. The rate for the Studio is $100 per night. There is a cleaning charge of $160 for the upper house only. The whole house is $240, and the house and studio is $300. We never rent the Studio separate from the house.
We require a deposit of $650 at the time of your reservation. Thirty days before arrival we require a signed renters agreement, payment in full and a refundable security deposit of $1000.

Rates vary depending on which condo you reserve and the length of time you visit. Generally the longer you stay 28 days or greater we will apply a discount. If you stay between 1 and 6 nights, short of a week the rate will increase because we need to add a cleaning fee between $65 and $80. Again this depends on the condo you are renting. If there are more than 2 guests we will additional $10 per head per night for guest 3 and 4.

Some of the owners do accept credit card payments. An additional 4% fee will be added if you choose to pay via credit card.
Now for the fine print; our refund policy.Not the fun part, but we do need to tell you this because things to do happen.We will refund you $125 USD if your reservation is cancelled outside of 60 days prior to your arrival.If cancellation occurs within 60 days of arrival, the balance is refunded if we are able to re-rent the condo.We can only refund for the days we are able to re-rent, less the $75 USD handling fee.However, we do try very hard to re-rent it and have sometimes been successful in the past depending on how much lead-time we have.
